Norway stayed without first option on right back position, Magnus Abelvik Rod, until the end of the Men’s EHF EURO 2020.
The 22-years old lefthander, the world’s best young player 2018/19 by Handball-Planet.com, has suffered fracture in the foot and has to be out three to four weeks.
– It’s bitter, but I can’t do anything about it, says Abelvik Rød. It’s heavy. I was really looking forward to being in and contributing in the matches that are coming and helping to fight for the semi-finals and possibly a finals. There has been a lot of stuff lately, and it takes a bit of motivation when I drive and stand here and have to give it the explanation. It was fantastic to experience in the European Championships at home, and I am very grateful that I got to experience it. I bet the guys do the rest of the job and bring home the gold, ”says Abelvik Rød.
