SG Flensburg-Handewitt’s Pytlick Out with Forearm Fracture

SG Flensburg-Handewitt will have to do without Simon Pytlick in the backcourt for an extended period.

The initial fears regarding Simon Pytlick have been confirmed. The Dane suffered a fracture in his right forearm during the EHF European League second-leg match against Fenix Toulouse. This was revealed by an X-ray examination carried out on-site in France. Pytlick will now travel back to Flensburg with the team, where he will have to undergo surgery. The exact duration of his absence is still unknown.

“The fact that we have to do without Simon in our current situation is, of course, a hard blow,” said SG Managing Director Holger Glandorf. “Even though his absence is a major setback for us and the team, we must now stick together and collectively fill the gap.

SG Flensburg are still in the race for titles in Bundesliga and EHF European League.
