NO MATCH in Belgrade clash of Partizan and AEK

The second match of the EHF Cup quarter-final between Partizan and AEK will not take place. The match at Banjica in front of 2,000 home fans never started after the players of the Greek club withdrew to the dressing room due to cannon-like explosions that fell on the court just minutes before the scheduled start.
The Greeks returned to the court once, followed by another blast, after which they did not return. In the meantime, the crowd calmed down, RK Partizan captain Nikola Zečević called on the fans for fair and sportsmanlike cheering, but the Greeks remained determined in their decision not to play in Belgrade due security reasons.
Final decision is made by EHF delegate after hour and 40 minutes of waiting.
The EHF decision is expected during the week.
AEK Athens beat RK Partizan 27:22 a week ago in Athens in match which last 119 minutes with a lot of tensions and incidents of domestic fans.
