Johannes Sellin and HC Erlangen together until 2026

It was almost a nightmare season for ambitious HC Erlangen. The team who had ambitious to be far away from the relegation battle at the German Bundesliga, was in danger of losing status of a member of the best league in the world practically until the last match of the season.
HC Erlangen ended 16th with two points ahead of relegated Bergischer. In the last five matches of the season, the responsibility for the club’s future took Johannes Sellin, former team’s right wing who became an assistant coach in the summer of 2023.
The 34-year-old Sellin avoided relegation with his former team-mates. The award came quickly. He got a two-years contract extension.
Sellin and Erlangen together until 2026.
