HUNGARIAN “DOUBLE CROWN” is not ENOUGH: Xavi Pascual to overtake Telekom Veszprem!
According to many sources, Xavi Pascual will be the new coach of Telekom Veszprem!
Three years contract of Serbian coach Momir Ilic is over and not be extended. The legendary Veszprem’s player (2013-2019), who began his coaching journey as Veszprem’s second team coach in 2019, overtook position of the first team coach in 2021. In three years period, Telekom Veszprem won double crown in Hungary twice, but last two years missed to qualify for the EHF Final4 event in Cologne, which obviosly prevailed in decision to separate from him.
Pascual will sign three-years contract. He already left Romanian TOP team Dinamo Bucharest with whom Spaniard qualify for the EHF European League Final4 2023, but without realistic chance to endanger German teams (ended 4th with two defeats).
