Gisli Kristjansson out for several weeks

SC Magdeburg will have to do without backcourt player Gisli Kristjansson for the time being. The Icelander sustained an injury to his right foot during the Champions League home game against Aalborg and will be out for several weeks.
“Gisli’s injury is a tough blow for us, just like the many other injuries we’ve had in recent weeks and months. But it is in moments like these that we must come together even more as a team. We have often proven that we can overcome setbacks together – and we will do so this time as well.”, announced Bennet Wiegert, Head Coach and Sports Director.
SC Magdeburg are on the way to qualify for EHF Champions League knock-out stage.
