The fifth International Handball Goalkeepers Camp was held last week in the Croatian summer resorts Makarska and Tucepi. Project who attracted young goalkeepers from 23 countries (over 100 participants) was led by one of the most important names in the goalkeeper’s world. The names of Danijel Šarić, Marin Šego, Nikola Blažičko, Mirko Bašić, Nebojša Grahovac, Dragan Jerković, but also goalkeeping coaches as Vlatko Djonovic (ŽRK Budućnost), Vanja Radic, Vladimir Vujović (Ex ŽRK Vardar) and Haris Porobić (MKB MVM Veszprem) proved the high quality of work during the Camp and gave a lot of good advices and nice memories to the youngstars.
Good training sessions and mental coach practice with Norwegian mental coach Karina Andersen Aas weren’t only high points of the six-days handball event in beautiful Croatian coast. The organizing team with Mario Caljkusic as the leader organized the Charity match to celebrate the fifth year of the project.
The list of fantastic players began with the special guest – German superstar Stefan Kretzschmar followed by one of the best ever on their positions – legendary Croatian and FC Barcelona left wing Patrick Cavar, his compatriot Mirza Dzomba, currently the best world’s goalkeeper Danijel Šarić, his colleague Mirko Alilovic, but also Croatian NT players Manuel Štrlek, Zlatko Horvat, Jakov Gojun, Igor Karacic, Davor Dominkovic, ex-NT coach Slavko Goluza and many other famous Croatian and Bosnian stars…
The match between “Camp’s friends” and “Golden years” team from Metkovic (former EHF Cup winner) ended 26:26. The best player was Kretzschmar, TOP scorer Cavar and best goalie Saric.
