Big success of 14th Handball Goalkeepers Camp in Croatia: Inspiration and motivation
The 14th Goalkeeper’s handball summer in Omiš, Croatia has ended. The camp of handball goalkeepers is known worldwide for the number of net guards who gather in one place and the names that work with the participants, and this year, it was attractive for all those who want to progress in this segment of the handball game. During the six training days, in addition to training related to technique and physical preparation, the organizer made an effort for the participants to gain certain knowledge regarding theory and nutrition.
It’s a lot of fun working with young goalkeepers. Children come from all over the world, it’s a very good concept and I’m happy to be here for the second summer in a row. It is very important that the young goalkeepers understand what they need to do on time, as well as for us, because this is how we get the motivation to continue working further – said the new Wisla Plock goalkeeper from Plock, Viktor Gisli Halgrimsson, who will strengthen the ranks of the Spanish Barcelona in summer 2025.
Halgrimsson was the biggest current name at the camp along with his new teammate, the young Polish representative Marcel Jasztrebski, the Brazilian Mayssa Pessoa, Marin Šego, and the coaching “staff” with Dragan Jerković, Dino Špiranec, Icet Sokoleski, Andre Texeira, Marina Skrobot, Matea Lonac, Pedro Silva, Milan Tolic…
The jubilee 15th Camp will be held on the last week of June 2025, and organizer Mario Čaljkušić announces a real spectacle that will mark a decade and a half of successful work.
