Aalborg Håndbold sells Aleks Vlah to Industria Kielce

The Slovenian player will transfer to the Polish Champions League participants after this season.
This means that the current season will also be Aleks Vlah’s last in the red Aalborg jersey, which he has worn since the summer of 2023.
“When we signed Aleks from Slovenian club Celje, we saw great potential and development opportunities, which he has fully realized and demonstrated both last season and this season. This has led to significant interest from other clubs, including Kielce, who made an offer that both we and Aleks found satisfactory.
Since we are already well-covered in the backcourt for the upcoming season, all three parties agreed that it made sense for Kielce to buy Aleks out of his contract already this summer, instead of waiting until 2026, when his contract was originally set to expire.
However, we still have three important months left in this season, with the biggest and most crucial matches ahead of us. Aleks will continue to play a vital role in our efforts to reclaim the Danish championship and reach the Final4 tournament in Cologne this June,” says Aalborg Håndbold’s director, Jan Larsen.
For Aleks Vlah, the newly signed agreement with Industria Kielce brings both joy and nostalgia.
“I am incredibly grateful that Aalborg Håndbold brought me to the club two years ago. During my time here, I have had many great experiences, including winning the Danish championship and playing in a Champions League final. I have also made many good friends and experienced an amazing city with passionate fans, so there is no doubt that I will miss both the club and the city.
However, Kielce has offered me a unique opportunity that I could not turn down, and I am happy that Aalborg Håndbold did not stand in the way of the transfer. It is important for me to emphasize that my focus remains 100 percent on finishing my time in Aalborg in the best possible way, so we can hopefully secure more titles this season,” says Aleks Vlah, who has so far played 91 matches for Aalborg Håndbold and scored 313 goals.
