Team Esbjerg, Odense, Győri Audi ETO KC, and Metz Reach Women’s EHF Champions League Final4

Two Danish clubs, Esbjerg and Odense, Hungarian side Győr, and French team Metz will compete at the Women’s EHF Champions League Final Four tournament on May 30–31 in Budapest.

Hungarian club Ferencváros failed to eliminate Odense after a draw in Denmark (27:27). In the last EHF Champions League match of Andrea Lekić’s career, the Danish team celebrated a 25:24 victory.

The second Danish club also secured qualification. Esbjerg defeated CSM Bucharest 26:22, overturning a one-goal deficit from the first leg in the Romanian capital (29:30).

In the French derby, Metz once again beat Brest, this time 33:32, after winning the first leg 29:26 away.

Finally, the only team to dominate their opponent was the defending champion Győr, who beat Germany’s Ludwigsburg 29:22 after a narrow away win of 25:24.

  • Brest Bretagne W – Metz W 26:29

  • Ludwigsburg W – Gyor W 24:25
