EHAA Signs MOU with Japan Handball Association to Support Global Player Development and Exchange

The European Handball Agent Association (EHAA) is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Japan Handball Association (JHA), marking a significant step toward enhancing international cooperation and player mobility in handball.

This agreement aims to support Japanese players in their pursuit of international careers while also creating new pathways for European players, coaches, and technical staff to succeed in Japan. By encouraging two-way exchange, EHAA and JHA seek to contribute to the global growth of handball and elevate competitive standards on both sides.

Under the framework of this MOU, EHAA will provide the following forms of support to the JHA:

1. Educational Programs
Offering seminars and resources on international transfers, life at overseas clubs, contract negotiation strategies, and the role of agents.

2. Support for Outbound Transfers

Connecting Japanese players interested in playing abroad with experienced, trusted EHAA- registered agents.

3. Facilitating Transfers to Japan

Recommending and supporting European players, coaches, and staff in their transition to and success within the Japanese handball scene.

“We are delighted to collaborate with the Japan Handball Association in this important step toward a more connected handball world. By opening new opportunities for Japanese and European players alike, we are helping to raise the overall level of the sport and encourage mutual growth,” said Andrej Golic, EHAA Representative.

“This partnership goes beyond player transfers – it’s about building long-term relationships, fostering international understanding and strengthening handball as a global sport,” added Marko Boskovic, Managing Director of EHAA.

Founded in October 2020, EHAA currently counts 55 agents across Europe and iscommitted to providing reliable guidance and support in handball transfers. This partnership underscores EHAA’s expanding global role in player development and international cooperation.

Further updates regarding the implementation of this initiative, including new support systems for players, will be announced in due course.
