Handball Legend Heidi Løke Joins Polish Women’s National Team Staff


The Polish women’s handball team has strengthened its coaching staff with the addition of Heidi Løke, one of the greatest players in handball history. The Norwegian joins as assistant coach to Arne Senstad.
Løke, a legendary pivot, has won numerous titles, including Olympic gold (2012) and bronze (2016), two World Championships (2011, 2015), and four European Championships (2008, 2010, 2014, 2020). At the club level, she has won the Champions League five times with teams like Győri and Vipers Kristiansand. In 2011, she was named IHF World Player of the Year.
Expressing her excitement, Løke said: “I’m thrilled about this opportunity and look forward to working with the team.”
Polish Handball Federation President Sławomir Szmal emphasized that her experience and winning mentality will be invaluable in strengthening the national team.
