Free-resin handball in Paris 2024?

French Handnews brought a story about possibility of seeing free-resin handball tournament at the Olympic Games 2024 in Paris.
Reasons for such a decision should be “budget limits” for cleaning halls and equipment which can be higher due resin use.
Another reason can be initiative for “Green games” which also seeing resin as a problem.
How will react handball community it will be interesting to see.
The International Handball Federation trying to implement “free-resin” handball for almost a decade but still without a serious impact and clear solution for it.
Although tradition, using resin causes a lot of problems in many countries in a number of halls available for handball trainings and matches.
