The new era of THW Kiel began on July 14, 2019, when the new coach Filip Jicha called players for the first time after 11 years of Alfred Gislason mission on Baltic coast, where he won a lot of domestic trophies and two EHF Champions League titles (201o and 2012).
The 37 years-old Czech was an assistant of Gislason in the last season in which THW Kiel won Men’s EHF Cup and German Cup.
The newcomers in “Zebras” t-shirt are goalkeeper Dario Quenstedt and defensive specialist Pavel Horak.
