The Egyptian line-player Mamdouh Ashem Shebib couldn’t even dream about playing at VELUX EHF Champions League Final 4 2017/2018, but the reason weren’t small chances of HC Montpellier Handball to qualify for the prestigious event at Lanxess Arena. The 29-years old African handball warrior began season as a member of French Aix, but he suddenly got a chance to wear Montpellier’s t-shirt as medical joker for injured Ludovic Fabregas.
Shebib could become the first ever player who would win African (HC Zamalek Cairo) and European Champions League competition.
