Celje Pivovarna Lasko celebrated eighth win in 18th Balkan Clasico against the eternal rivals from the other side of the border – PPD Zagreb 30:28 (14:13). Team of Veselin Vujovic didn’t play defense on their level, which gave a lot of chances to Celje’s light back players Zarabec and Janc to make a lot of chances for scoring goals.
At the end, Stipe Mandalinic had a chance to make much more interesting finish, but Urban Lesjak saved his 7-meter shot a minute before the end, which was the start of celebration for the domestic players, who, surprisingly, had support of only 3.000 fans at their “Zlatorog” arena.
