“El Loco” Željko Babić: Jesus, thank you my friend!

Croatian NT head-coach Željko Babić becoming famous for some untypical statements before and after the matches. One of them which already became legendary is taken after miracle in the last match of the Main Round, in which Croatia trashed Poland 37:23 for the semi-final:

-This was miracle from Medjugorje. Yes, from Medjugorje (famous place of religious gathering in BIH). I want to thanks to my friend Jesus. I hope he will forgive me my lack of hope. It is very nice to win in this way. Nobody knows what happened to Poles. We were stabil mentaly, played good defense with good goalkeeper. That is sport. I didn’t believe in miracle, but we win. I would never bet against Jesus, never! – said Babic.
