Four best teams in Europe just three and a half months before at the VELUX EHF Champions League Final4 2015, had disasterous start of the new CL campaign! The only team who won a single points for the “big four” were Hungarian Veszprem in Plock 27:27, but that wasn’t enough for the Board of Hungarian team to save the coach who brought them some of the biggest club’s titles – Antonio Carlos Ortega.
The others, also showed poor performances at the begining of the season. THW Kiel lost in Zagreb convincingly 29:22, the reigning champions FC Barcelona Lassa left SAP Arena in Mannheim again with empty hands – 22:21, while Dujshebaev boys from Kielce lost away challenge against PICK Szeged 31:30.
