The “Number 1” of THW Kiel will be making a rather surprising transfer next season. Johan Sjostrand, as announced by both teams, from July next year will be moving to MT Melsungen. Johan Sjostrand joined THW Kiel in 2013 from Barcelona with which he won the Champions League. Sjostrand have signed a three-year deal which will keep him in Melsungen until 30th of June 2018.
He will be succeeding his compatriot Mikael Appelgren in MT Melsungen, while second keeper at the team will be Rene Villadsen.
