ETO University Handball Team sign Croatian line-player Tomislav Kusan
The formation of the 2025/2026 squad for the ETO University Handball Team is progressing at a great pace. We are delighted to announce that from the summer, Croatian player Tomislav Kusan will don the green-and-white jersey.
Announcements have begun at the club, and after the extension of head coach Bálint Kilvinger’s contract, a new player joins the team. Tomislav Kusan, the Croatian player, will transfer to Győr from the French club Limoges Handball.
“We are thrilled to announce that from the summer, our team will welcome a talented new player who is joining us from the renowned French club Limoges. Tomislav’s arrival is an important step in strengthening the team, while we continue to focus on achieving our set goals. We hope his presence will have a significant impact on the court and contribute to the continued success of our club. We can’t wait to see him in action and are excited about the future of working together,” said Rita Uhlig, Managing Director of Győri ETO-UNI FKC Kft.
“Tomislav is a versatile pivot with great physical attributes. I believe this is a very important step in strengthening the team, as Tomislav can deliver strong performances in both defense and offense. I’m looking forward to working together from the summer,” said head coach Bálint Kilvinger.
Kusan’s arrival to the ETO University Handball Team marks a new chapter in his career. He has gained experience in his homeland, Croatia, as well as in international teams in Germany, France, Macedonia, and Spain.
“There’s an excellent project unfolding in Győr, and ETO is a club that is determined to strengthen its position in the Hungarian league, as shown by this season’s results. I’m very excited to come to Hungary because I have never played in the Hungarian league before. My plan is to do everything I can to help the team achieve its goals,” said Tomislav Kusan, who also had a message for the fans. “I’ve already heard that the team has amazing supporters. I encourage them to come to the matches next season as well, and I promise the team will do everything to bring them joy.”
